Hey everyone Katlyn here! Usually I'm the one coming up with games for the kids or trying my best to crack a joke with a big ol' camera pressed against my face. Fun fact - I'm a midwest transplant. I was born and raised in central Kentucky. I went to college in Eastern Kentucky in the foot hills of the Appalachians, where I met my hubby. In the Summer of  2019 my little family settled in the town of Charlotte, IA. When I'm not behind the camera you can probably catch me chasing some sort of animal - my daughter included! We have fur babies, chickens, the occasional wildlife and hopefully one day we'll add  some goats and a horse to our ever-growing zoo - I mean farm.

It was when we had our daughter, Karahline, I discovered how much I loved the way I could use a camera to capture the emotions of a moment. It was at that point I started taking pictures of more than just my cows, and here we are today! I am definitely a visual story teller and love using "prompts" over "poses". We will have tickle fights, play music and rock out, or simply sway back and forth under the sunset. To me photography is so much more than fantastic pictures on the wall, well it's partly that. I am not the stand in one place and snap a kind of photographer. I I will work closely with you to plan a session devoted to capturing  your families true essence, your "vibe" or your love story. I like to take the time to get to know each and every client and what they're vision is. We can meet for some coffee, grab a bite to eat or go for a walk, I'm down.
